    Please! Make a video about how to effectively watch videos and lectures! Since we're learning about learning, let's also watch about watching, keep it meta and all that ;) It would really drive the efficiency of what we're doing here. And thank you already for all the insight you've given so far. It's really appreciated.

    I don't ever write notes or put in much effort to memorise content. I just try to understand the concept, then draw the relations in my head and think about it in bed, in shower, or while walking. Then I make us of assignments to explore deeper into the topic. I'll briefly watch the lectures again in case I don't understand something or missed anything. And usually, I'll spend some time explaining the concepts to interested friends. It's worked well for me, even in my master's. Pretty decent grades with this strategy, not the best, but significantly less grinding and mental stress involved. Not entirely sure which stage I'm operating at because studying now feels quite effortless to me. I can tick the boxes up to stage 5, however, its 100% all in my head? No mind maps or anything. I do know I definitely used to operate at stage 2 during my high school and early years of uni, they were tough times.

    There seems to be a misconception among the viewers. Just because your exam might have 'level 5' or 'level 6' questions, doesn't mean the students have 'reached' (more appropriately become accustomed to) those levels. The reason is that most students at first solely focus on trying to understand and memorise what they are trying to learn, often habitually. As a result, they spend much less time in the higher order territory of learning. Even if they do spend more time, most of them will NEVER start by evaluating and connecting what they are learning, because it is very hard to do so. But in reality the speed and quality of learning lies right there.

    I'm not sure you can use this taxonomy to actively learn how to think better since all six levels are applied in all thinking simultaneously (and probably not even restricted to humans) Maybe regard the taxonomy as a snapshot of what is involved in thinking.

    Well, basically I'm somewhere in between the top and the normal student, as I believe in the context of working hard and pushing myself to the limit where I could be better. But at the same time, I also working on how to effectively studying and prepare for myself throughout the test. So atm, I think that both can sound conflict, but what matter the most is that I know what are my weakness but don't know how to guide myself thru it. I'll be glad to hear any advice, thanks alot!

    🎯 Key points for quick navigation: 🧠 The ladder method helps force your brain to study, especially when you're tired or burnt out. 🏔️ Feeling overwhelmed happens because the brain judges tasks based on perceived effort and energy consumption. 🧩 Organizing new information takes significant mental effort, making learning daunting. 🏷️ The brain saves energy by properly organizing information into 'cups' based on similarity. 📚 Breaking study material into smaller, easier-to-handle sections (rungs on a ladder) makes studying manageable. 🚀 Start with low-effort tasks to build a scaffold, progressively getting into more detail with each rung. ⏳ Each subsequent rung may take more time but becomes easier as the foundational understanding grows. ⭐ Using the ladder method regularly makes studying more approachable and reduces procrastination. In order to create anything, you need to utilize theory. The relevancy of theory isn't so distant for many professions.

    • @averychurch1392
      @averychurch1392 23 часа назад

      There's probably two types of theory to generate new ideas, there's higher theory which possesses difficult to access information, and there's also deeper theory which relies on transcendent, potentially combinatory elements. Even if you copy paste entire innovations but modify only one theoretical or actual attribute and utilize it as a focal point to redefine the rest of an apparatus, that could potentially produce a novel iteration (as long as the point of redesign is dynamic enough to affect the fundamental design of the rest of the system)

    Hello Justin, I have found your channel through this video. As a fresh industrial design graduate I have realized that I have some improvement to do considering the Level 6 - Create part. I spend a lot of time between the level 4 and 5 during the ideation and research process for my designs. I have found the knowledge you have shared very insightful for my profession and I will keep checking your channel for further information considering this area. Is it possible for you to provide articles considering this issue? Especially if there are ones for designers? I'd appreciate that.

    The title and intro foreshadowed a degree of animosity that, I'm disappointed to say, the talk didn't deliver. Besides that, I watched the whole thing and thoroughly enjoyed. Main take-aways: science is hard, and people with their flashy presentations and gimmicks backed by superficial science sell apps and learning platforms and whatnot, upon Bright Side and Psych2Go tier research. A welcome reminder to be skeptical.

    So youre saying, level 6 Thinkers are most likely found on the top of the Games. Thats making me believe, me as a level 6 thinker will never be able to use my potential in a normal job, like always. Little egozentic, but using new informations to synthesies new answers and options are for me the most common thing. Big step in reflecting, why im always believing im dump, because, the others can not understand my thinking of sythesising. My edjucatior also always stopping me of idea creation. LOVE HATE STORY
